Sub Sea Experience also provides the highest quality equipment sales and service because the most comfortable, convenient and enjoyable way to dive is with your own set of properly-fitted equipment. Servicing your equipment annually with Sub Sea staff improves your equipment's performance, and minimizes malfunctions, which provides peace of mind.
While education helps develop knowledge and skills, the key to becoming a comfortable and confident diver is simply to dive as much as possible. Your experience increases as you explore different diving locations, meet new friends, have new adventures and explore new worlds with the Sub Sea Experience diving community.

Nick Nissen, Spring Break 2004 Victoria: March 27 - April 3, 2004
I have just completed a dive trip with sub sea out to Victoria. The trip was amazing, I have been recommending scuba diving to all of my friends since I got back. The gang over at Sub Sea were great too! They were very professional, but a lot of fun too! Like I said, the trip was amazing, part of it was the spectacular dive sites, and part of it was the people who were diving along side me. Our group was great, and because we were able to make smooth transitions, and everyone helped out, we got to dive some amazing sites, like Race Rocks!!! Some of the sea life was fabulous to look at, and there's nothing like swimming with the fishes. Captain Jack inspired confidence in us all, and the instructors were above par. I would love to dive with anyone that was there. It was so much fun, I'm now hooked, and I'll be diving for the rest of my life. There were no real problems with the trip and the few mechanical difficulties were quickly dealt with, so that no one had to miss a dive. I'd like to send a big thanks out to Ray, Bernie, Norm, Alvin, Heather, Chris, Kirby, Richard, Denis, Diane, and of course, Captain Jack, for making our trip a fabulous and unforgettable experience.
Dan Gregorio, Spring Break 2004 Victoria: March 27 - April 3, 2004
This trip was a great experience for me. First and foremost, the diving was incredible. I looked forward to each and every dive wondering how the next could be any better than the last! I also learned a lot. Sub Sea's dive leaders were all great instructors, as well as fun people to have around. They kept a professional and safe attitude towards the diving, which made me feel safe and secure all the time. I would say that my skills as a diver increased dramatically over the course of the week and I now have more confidence in the water, which is always important. My expectations of the week were to have a great time and learn lots, both of which were met quite easily. I also really enjoyed the boat, it was great to have such an easy access to dive sites (and riding it was fun too). I would recommend this trip to anyone who loves diving, or wants to get into it, but also to anyone who wants to challenge themselves both physically and mentally. I had an absolute blast!
Joanne Bleakley, Spring Break 2004 Victoria: March 27 - April 3, 2004
First of all I think its essential that Jack and everyone at the shop knows that this past spring break was actually the best time of my life. All the leaders were so cool and yet they still managed to teach us well. One of the things that made this trip so extremely awesome was the attitude of the Dive Leaders, their enthusiasm for the sport of diving rubbed off on every one of the divers and their attitude towards experience helped us newbies appreciate the trip to its fullest. Even though the hotel we stayed in wasn't top notch it was perfect for what we needed. If there's a trip next year, a hotel with a hot tub or something would be nice so the divers could go and relax during the evenings but the motel we stayed in this year definitely added some comical events to our trip. The actual dives that we went on were super cool, in every single dive I noticed something different about the underwater world. I wish we could have done more wreck dives and dives on the outside but I understand that for the first few days our experience level limited the sites we could dive at. Another aspect of the trip I really liked was the night dives. It's so cool to see underwater at night because it looks like a totally different place. My expectations for this trip were completely blown away. I thought that I would get sick of diving and want to go home but by the end of the trip I was so sad to leave. There is not one moment of that trip that I regret or wish I could have done differently and I think that is mostly because of the great people that went on this trip with me. Jack has now become one of the people I respect most in the world because he has experienced so much that some day I hope I can too. I would definitely recommend this trip or one of its kind to high school students all over world. I learned so much stuff and had so much fun that its hard to even put into words. I can't even begin to thank all the people at Sub Sea for what they did this past Spring Break because I know you guys did so much more than I even know. I will remember this trip as the best Spring Break of my life and I hope that my experiences as a diver have only just begun. Thank you so much, you guys are sooooooooooooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Lisa Green, Spring Break 2004 Victoria: March 27- April 3, 2004
This was an incredible, once in a life time opportunity! I don't have a single complaint. I'll go over everything anyways. Transportation was long, but it worked. It would have been a great chance to get to know everyone better, but I slept the majority of the way, both ways actually. Accommodation, what can I say. It was worth it though to help keep costs down. Instruction, excellent! I felt one hundred percent comfortable and confident with all of the instructors and dive leaders. I did most of my dives with Alvin. He provided instruction at the rate I was comfortable with, all my dives with him were excellent. All the equipment worked well and if any problems arose with the equipment they were taken care of very promptly. I loved the boats! There's nothing like zooming across the ocean with salty air blowing in your face and being surrounded by mountains and rocks. I was also very appreciative for Rich's boat, the one day we were on it was the day I got soaked and absolutely frozen, it was nice to be able to go inside. As for the dives and locations it could have been as cold as ever and it still would have been heavenly. I absolutely loved every dive and every location, couldn't have been better! The dive leaders and instructors were excellent. I felt very comfortable and confident with each of them. The attitude/professionalism was a perfect mix of teacher/leader and friendly and joking. I didn't know what to expect at all. I had no idea what I would see or what the instructors would be like. I was so impressed with everything. I had no idea how much life there was, it was so beautiful. I would absolutely recommend this trip to other students. It was inspiring and left me awe struck. I would like to add a huge thanks to everyone that made this happen – all the instructors, leaders and Jack, but especially Kirby. Thank you for the best spring break ever.
Mark Staples, Spring Break 2004 Victoria: March 27- April 3, 2004
I had no idea what to expect when I signed up to go on the trip. I thought that much of the trip would be instructional, and that we would be practicing skills and procedures, only in a less controlled area than the pool. I was pleasantly surprised. I got to see alot of life and other things underwater that I didn't think we would go and see. The instructors were there if anything went wrong, but at the same time, they gave us enough freedom so that we didn't feel like we were being babysat. They were definitely knowledgable, and very professional. It was especially good the way the dives went from least interesting to most interesting and least difficult to most difficult. It helped me to build confidence and competence in a real diving scenario. My favorite dives were Great Race, Race Rocks, the wreck dives and Rocky point. I really enjoyed the more challenging dives such as Race rocks and Rocky point. I didn't really have any major problems with equipment, and the boat was awesome. I flew out, but the big van was good and comfortable for moving us around when we were there. I'm glad we stayed where we did. It kept the price down, and it was comfortable.
Teri Palmer, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: February 20-22, 2004
I wanted to thank the entire team for pushing me to my limits and supporting me when I didn't think I could do it. Someone was always there to show me how to do it right or assist me if I needed it. Subsea Experience was not only informative in teaching me how to dive, but also gave me more confidence when being in the water. To tell you the truth, I have a phobia of sharks, but was able, through the course, to identify many misconceptions that I had and now I am excited and looking forward to completing my open water, and becoming a certified scuba diver. I felt completely comfortable underwater and can count on being underwater, and all geared up soon. Thanks again. See you underwater!
Jackie Mathieson, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: February 20-22, 2004
Thanks for the great course this past weekend! I really learned a lot about diving and about myself in general. The confidence that I now have regarding diving is thanks to you and your team! I can't wait to go to Mexico in May and complete my certification.
Mike Ranger, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: January 23-25, 2004
I really enjoyed myself, learned a wealth of information and would recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming involved in diving. I'm often the type to sit back and analyze things a bit, especially after they are through. Pondering back on the weekend beginner diving course I took with Sub Sea Experience, I cannot really think of anything that could have been done differently to improve upon the course. In the limited amount of time we had over the weekend, I believe, the maxium amount of information was covered. You and your crew worked hard to keep everyone focused and learning new information at all times and the even mix of classroom and pool based instruction, I felt, was an excellent way to do this. The Sub Sea Crew was extremely helpful in answering any questions and providing assistance in any way required. One final note which I truly feel is worthy of comment is the price. To be able to be involved in a course where one is educated so well, and for such a low price is just excellent. Again, I'd really like to thank you and the Sub Sea Crew for the great course you put on and the knowledge and experience I was able to gain.

Angie Mercer, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: March 21-23, 2003
I was really apprehensive when Marty suggested we take scuba lessons. He used the reasoning that we're heading to Asia in October, and it'd be really neat to go diving there. I agreed and signed up, but I was still really scared. We went swimming for a few weeks prior to the start of the class, but the butterflies in my stomach kept fluttering and I was still really nervous. But, with the help of Alvin and Michael and Jack, I overcame my fear, and I had a blast. The patience you guys had, both in and out of the class, helped me to enjoy what I was doing, and forget that I was even scared of it at all. I'll admit, it went at a fairly quick pace, but you guys taught us so well that it didn't matter. I am so excited to do my open water dive, and even more excited to explore the waters on my own. Many thanks to Sub Sea for such an enjoyable weekend. See you in Jasper!
Claudio and Bonita Martins, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: March 7-9, 2003
One word "fantastic" Bonita and I, would like to thank the team of professionals who taught this weekend's class (Alvin, Heather, Mike, Gord and the extra hands during pool sessions). Your patience and skills helped us confirm we will enjoy this recreational sport for the years to come. We can't wait for our open water dives. We know there will always be time to scuba dive during our holidays. We will see you again to upgrade our skills, wouldn't dream to go anywhere else. Thanks again!
Shannon Vass, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: February 28-March 2, 2003

Black Gold Teachers' Professional Institute, Try Scuba: November 2002
- "Just wanted to let you know that the Scuba session on Friday was fantastic! I had a great day. Very educational and entertaining. I think this would be a great experience to share with students."
- "Thank you for an incredible PD day. This has been one of the best PD experiences I've ever had. Here's hoping that your program will continue to be offered as a PD option for educators in the years to come."
- "I very much enjoyed the experience. I felt safe and very supported. It was an experience that took you away to a different and foreign environment."
- "Awesome program, great laughs, will definitely recommend the shop to other people thanks a bunch."
- "Thank you for offering us the opportunity to experience scuba diving. Your session was informative and interesting. You did a great job presenting the material to us. I was quite nervous about doing this, but you made me feel comfortable enough to try a sport that I have always been too scared to try. I had a great time and hope that you are able to present this to other members of our staff in future institutes."
Jean Barnett, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: October 18-20, 2002
I'm writing to thank Alvin, Norm, Jeremy and Heather for putting on such a great scuba course last weekend. I very much enjoyed thecourse and was surprised how confident I now feel in my Scuba skills after only 3 days of class and pool time. The pool time at Scona and Kinsmen was great. I was impressed how Norm and Alvin could continue to provide instruction even under water, a sure sign of scuba pros. Jeremy's graphic explanations of possible symptoms of pulmonary embolisms, decompression sickness etc helped ensure we remembered the importance of controlled accents. Thanks to all for a great weekend! Your enthusiasm for the sport (sorry... recreational activity) is contagious. Diane and I are looking forward to our first open water dive in the balmy Caribbean.
Ian Pocock, Scuba Immersion Program Classroom and Pool: October 18-20, 2002
Philip and I enjoyed it very much and learned a great deal - thank you for all your efforts! I particularly appreciated the way you worked with the group to get the best out each of us by challenging us to take control and master each task presented - that way we learned self sufficiency as well as buddy skills. We got a huge amount of progress in what was a very short but intensive course. Great job!
